Training in Lean and Agile Methods

I offer customized training programs specifically designed to familiarize your teams with the latest methods in Lean and Agile. Consulting in Lean und Agile

In my consulting services, I see myself not only as an expert in Lean and Agile but also as a guide and supporter on your journey to more efficient and effective working methods. A key aspect of my consulting is the ability to provide direct and practical answers to your questions. Whether it concerns specific ‘how-to’ queries or developing a comprehensive plan for transitioning to more agile methods, I am ready to support you with expert knowledge and practical solutions.

However, consulting is more than just answering questions. It involves developing a clearly defined plan together that outlines the next steps in your complex journey towards better working methods. I place great importance on gently steering the affected employees and teams in the right directions. Training and Mentoring of Internal ScrumMasters, Product Owners, and Agile Coaches

Training in Agile working and modern product development involves more than just conveying theory in a two-day course. Such training is primarily intended to establish a common language and explain the basic elements of frameworks. The real challenge—and the key to success—lies in integrating this knowledge into daily work and making it applicable. This is exactly where my support begins, for both typical and some rather unusual roles in the agile environment and in modern software and general product development.

A particular specialty of mine is methods like Extreme Programming (XP), DevOps, and similar approaches that are specifically aimed at developers and engineers. These methods are designed to empower teams and make product development more efficient and effective. But also at higher levels, such as in Product Management, the challenges of today’s markets pose significant hurdles for many employees. With my extensive experience in these areas, I stand ready to help overcome these hurdles and enhance the skills of your employees.

Supporting (and Rescuing) Ongoing Agile Transformations

Supporting transformations, especially the transition to agile working methods, is a comprehensive and complex undertaking. It is a widespread misconception that companies can be restructured ‘just like that’. In reality, transformations are often confronted with a variety of challenges: from resistances that arise both intentionally and unintentionally to fundamental errors in planning and support of these processes. Frequently, there is an overestimation of capabilities or an overwhelming of the participants involved. Often, there is also a lack of clear definition and coordination of goals and expectations, leading to disappointments and suboptimal results.

In many cases, transformations to agile working do not meet the expectations placed in them. They incur costs, frustrate participants, and fail to produce noticeable improvements. Here is where I can provide significant added value. With my experience and expertise, I help companies avoid these pitfalls and realize an effective, efficient, and sustainable transformation.

My approach includes a careful analysis of the initial situation, identifying obstacles, and developing tailored solution strategies. I work closely with all involved to ensure that the transformation is not only present on paper but is truly lived. Consulting on Modern Leadership

Many managers today face a significant challenge: the traditional tools and methods they have used to manage their areas are increasingly being questioned or becoming obsolete. This change is often made without providing leaders with adequate new tools or clarifying what is now expected of them. This is where my support comes in.

I not only help managers find answers to the two central questions—what new tools are now available and how to demonstrate effective leadership in an increasingly self-organized environment—but also to successfully manage this transition. The key lies in expanding and adapting the understanding of leadership. It’s about seeing leadership not merely as a command and control function but as the ability to create an environment in which teams can self-organize and realize their full potential.

My role is to provide leaders with the tools and knowledge they need to effectively operate in this new world. This includes developing skills in areas such as emotional intelligence, inspiring communication, strategic thinking, and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous learning.

Strategy Consulting

Strategy consulting is one of my core subjects and a passion of mine. In my experience, many strategies are more wishful thinking than actual, executable plans. A classic example is the goal of ‘increasing revenue by 20 percent next year.’ Such goals are legitimate ambitions but do not yet constitute a strategy. A true strategy involves finding and leveraging strategic advantages as well as identifying and eliminating strategic disadvantages.

The development of these strategic elements and their integration into the daily operations of a company are challenging tasks. Here, I offer my support—both in the preliminary work of identification and in implementing concrete actions to execute these strategies. This process is demanding and requires more than just introducing a new tool or holding some meetings.

Many companies find that merely hiring an OKR consultant and setting up a few meetings are insufficient to bring about real change or improvements. This is where my work begins: I help you not only implement OKRs or other strategic tools effectively but also ensure that these tools truly engage and lead to noticeable improvements in your company.
